The Kent Cultural Baton invites any cultural group or event to consider Hosting it in the Lead up to 2012. The Baton wants to reach as broad a spectrum of cultural activities as possible, and therefore does not exclude any project from being considered. The main aim is rediscover what is hidden or forgotten in Kent. It might be something incredibly new or something very old. It might be a bizarre fact, or fascinating piece of folklore. It might be a long held custom, or a well preserved collection of artefacts. It might be an amazing piece of architecture or a place where something is buried. Whatever it is it is important that it is in Kent, that it relates to culture (in the broadest sense), and that it is special and worth celebrating.
